Dual fixed-format Din-Sync TX ports.
MIDI receive (RX) 5-pin DIN ports for master keyboards and MIDI controllers. Can be directly routed internally to any output.
Fixed-format 5-pin DIN MIDI transmit (TX) ports.
USB Type-A ports for bi-directional MIDI. Hub-compatible for up to eight individual full-bandwidth instrument connections.
USB Type-B ports for host connections to another computer, tablet, or any instrument that supports USB host connections. Each port provides four virtual lanes.
Headphone output for fully customisable click output.

TRS input (tip/sleeve) that receives sync reference signals from the GridLock II plug-in (AU / VST2 / VST3 / AAX). Requires a dedicated pair of analogue audio outputs from your primary audio interface.
Dual-format transmit (TX) 5-pin ports, individually switchable between MIDI and Din-Sync.
16 x CV outputs on DB25. Create multiple CV instruments in the Control App and have them appear in your DAW as Core MIDI track destinations. No external MIDI-to-CV conversion, no sacrificing of DC-coupled audio interface outputs, and no complex plug-in setups required.

 Session Manager support for up to four combined units, for a theoretical total of up to 8 x 5-pin DIN MIDI inputs, 48 x 5-pin DIN MIDI outputs, 32 x USB MIDI inputs, 64 x USB MIDI outputs ports, 64 x CV outputs and 40 x Din-Sync outputs.

 Compatible with Apple Silicon and macOS 13.6 and up.

  Port to Port Skew: Maximum ≤5 μs across all outputs.*

 Universal DAW Compatibility: Verified stable operation in Bitwig, Ableton Live, Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, LUNA, Reaper, and Renoise.

 True Logic CV: Logic-level CV outputs generate timing signals directly in hardware with clean, fast edges, ensuring reliable and accurate triggering with a ±15 VDC range. This avoids the timing variability and softer signal edges inherent in DC-coupled audio outputs, while keeping your audio interface outputs free for audio use.

 Flexible Voltage Options: Gates, Clocks, and Triggers support multiple voltage levels (+3 | +5 | +10 | +12 | +15 VDC)

 Precision CV: 16 bit DAC accurate to 0.5 cents over 8 octaves (V/Oct).

 Future-Proof Connectivity: Native multi-standard sync formats (MIDI | DIN | CV | Triggers) - no conversion required.

* Even though GRIDLOCK II directly controls connected USB instruments, the USB-MIDI protocol sends data in packets rather than as a continuous stream. The GRIDLOCK II dynamic driver and active firmware keep timing as tight as the hardware and hubs allow, but USB timing will always be slightly less precise than the 5-pin DIN MIDI, Din-Sync, or VTX ports. Where possible, use these ports for rhythmically critical instruments.
